I was born in 1924 in Springfield, Illinois the youngest of four children. My mother and my father were happily married although money was usually a problem. Mother taught me love and Dad taught me logic. I was drafted on graduation from high school and spent almost three years in the Navy during the war – Radio Technician first class. After discharge I got a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. I was with Hughes Company for 26 years – weather radar. For another more poetic account see my poetic biography below.
